Panovolo 1.8.1 released with support for Mavic 4 Pro panoramas

PanoVolo release 1.8.1 adds support for Mavic 4 Pro drone panoramas. Panoramas captured with the main wide-angle camera as well as with tele cameras (including 360° captured with 70 mm camera) are fully supported.

Full list of changes in this release:

  • Added support for DJI Mavic 4 Pro drone panoramas. Mavic 4 Pro image metadata is used in the stitching process, increasing the robustness of panorama creation. Both main camera and tele cameras metadata is supported. Stitching of 360° panoramas captured with 28mm and 70mm cameras is supported.
  • Added the ability to select the output image format in the batch processing dialog. The supported output formats are:
    • Auto. Selects JPEG output if panoramas are stitched from JPEG files and TIFF output if panoramas are stitched from DNG or TIFF files.
    • JPEG
    • TIFF (16-bit)
    • Downscaled JPEG. Useful for social media share, this option reduces the size of non-360° panoramas to 2048 pixels, and of 360° panoramas to the maximum of 8192×4096 pixels, allowing the direct panorama sharing on social networks and photo sharing sites.
  • Added the ability to drag and drop collections of images onto main PanoVolo window to start the panorama stitching process. Individual folder with images can also be dropped.
  • Fixed a rare crash when panorama was created without drone metadata and there was not enough matched points to estimate camera poses.

PanoVolo 1.8.1 is available as a free upgrade for Windows and macOS users and installers can be freely downloaded.
